1. Education and reference only

VIEWMIUM provides educational and reference information for adults interested in radiology and related medical imaging. Content may include de-identified case images, annotations, descriptions, translations, articles, search results, contributor information and AI-assisted explanations.

2. Not medical advice or a medical device

VIEWMIUM is not a medical device, healthcare provider, radiology service, clinical decision support system, diagnostic service, treatment service, PACS, EHR or emergency service. It does not diagnose, treat, cure, mitigate, monitor or prevent disease. It does not provide patient-specific recommendations and must not be used as a substitute for professional judgment, formal training, institutional protocols or regulated clinical systems.

3. No clinical reliance

Do not use VIEWMIUM to make or support a decision about a particular patient. Do not use it to interpret a live study, select treatment, determine urgency, calculate a dose, verify a report, satisfy a standard of care, or replace consultation with a qualified healthcare professional. If you have a health question or are considering a medical decision, consult an appropriately qualified professional.

4. Emergencies

VIEWMIUM does not monitor content or AI messages for emergencies. If you believe someone may be experiencing a medical emergency, contact local emergency services immediately. Do not wait for a response from VIEWMIUM.

5. Accuracy and completeness

Medical knowledge, classifications and practice standards change. Educational cases may be simplified, incomplete, translated, selected for teaching value or viewed without the full clinical context. Despite editorial review, content can contain errors. Verify important information using current authoritative sources and applicable professional guidance.

6. No patient data

Do not upload or enter PHI, personal health records, patient identifiers, identifiable images or patient-specific facts. Contributor uploads follow a separate controlled de-identification and quarantine workflow. A public user account is not an authorized clinical data channel.

7. Feature-specific notices

  • Medical-image viewer: educational exemplar; not for primary interpretation or diagnosis.
  • AI: AI-generated content may be wrong; education only; do not enter patient information.
  • Contributor profile: verification is limited to reviewed credentials and is not an endorsement.
  • Contributor ranking: an activity or contribution metric, not a measure of clinical quality or competence.
  • Certificate: recognition of a contribution, not licensure, CME or board certification.
  • Translation: may be AI-assisted and may not capture local terminology or practice.
  • Search and retrieval: may omit relevant context; consult the source and version where available.
