1. Scope and relationship to the Terms

This End User License Agreement supplements the VIEWMIUM Terms of Use and governs each VIEWMIUM application you download, install or use (the “Licensed Application”). The licensor is VIEWMIUM, not Apple, Google, Microsoft or another distribution platform. If this EULA conflicts with the Terms on software licensing, this EULA controls; the Terms control all other matters.

2. License grant

Subject to the Terms, this EULA and an active entitlement where required, VIEWMIUM grants you a limited, personal, revocable, non-exclusive, non-sublicensable and non-transferable license to install and use the Licensed Application on devices you own or control, solely for lawful educational and reference use and in accordance with applicable platform usage rules.

3. Restrictions

  • Do not copy, distribute, rent, lease, sell, sublicense or commercially exploit the Licensed Application.
  • Do not reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble or attempt to derive source code, except where mandatory law expressly permits it.
  • Do not bypass authentication, Premium entitlements, rate limits, access controls, certificate checks, signing controls or update mechanisms.
  • Do not scrape or systematically extract cases, images, annotations, profiles, embeddings, search results or databases.
  • Do not use the software or content to train, benchmark or validate a model without a separate written license.
  • Do not remove proprietary, attribution, safety, medical or privacy notices.
  • Do not use developer, beta or desktop update channels for production clinical work.

4. Updates, support and technical operation

The Licensed Application may require updates to remain secure or compatible. Depending on device settings and distribution channel, updates may download automatically. We may stop supporting old versions after reasonable notice where practicable. Support is available through the route linked in the VIEWMIUM site footer. No platform provider is responsible for maintenance or support beyond obligations it cannot disclaim.

Production desktop releases use authenticated distribution and update controls intended to prevent unsigned update payloads and connections to development systems.

5. Open-source and third-party components

The Licensed Application includes open-source and third-party components. Their notices and licenses are made available in the application or on the VIEWMIUM site where required. If an applicable open-source license grants rights that conflict with this EULA, that license controls for the relevant component only. Third-party identity, billing and operating-system services are governed by their own terms.

6. Medical, safety and AI limitations

The Licensed Application is educational and is not a medical device or clinical system. It must not be used for patient-specific diagnosis, treatment, monitoring, triage or emergencies. Do not enter PHI or identifiable patient data. AI output may be inaccurate and is not medical advice. The Medical and Educational Disclaimer and AI Use Notice are incorporated by reference.

7. Apple-specific terms

For an application obtained through Apple: this EULA is between you and VIEWMIUM, not Apple; Apple has no duty to furnish maintenance or support; to the extent a warranty cannot be disclaimed, Apple may refund the purchase price and has no other warranty obligation to the maximum extent permitted; VIEWMIUM, not Apple, is responsible for product, legal-compliance and intellectual-property claims relating to the application; Apple and its subsidiaries are third-party beneficiaries of this EULA and may enforce it upon acceptance; and use is subject to the Apple Media Services Terms and applicable Usage Rules.

8. Google Play-specific terms

For an application obtained through Google Play, this EULA is between you and VIEWMIUM, not Google. Google is not responsible for the application, content, support or claims except as required by its own terms or applicable law. Purchases, cancellations and refunds are processed under Google Play terms and the Subscription Terms.

9. Export and sanctions

You may not use, export or re-export the Licensed Application in violation of applicable export-control or sanctions laws. You represent that you are not located in, controlled by, or acting for a prohibited party or destination. Availability in a store does not override legal restrictions.

10. Termination and legal terms

The license ends automatically when your account or the Terms terminate, when you materially violate this EULA, or when the relevant application is permanently discontinued. You must stop using and delete the application. Sections concerning restrictions, ownership, disclaimers, liability, export and disputes survive as appropriate. Governing law, mandatory consumer rights, disclaimers and liability limits are those in the Terms.
